turning nineteen :)

ah, so the birthday week is finally over. for the may babies, happy birthday boon and joanna!

ive had a very fun filled birthday this year.
got a treat from jaytee on wed since he had to work for like 48hrs straight on thurs onwards. we took 2 photos, one i smiled nicely but he look retarded. but the other one which i tickled him and he was smiling so nicely, i look constipated. :( but still, it was a great chat i had, thanks buddy!



and on thursday, i met up with the gang for dinner. it was hilarious how qh msged me on tues saying "thurs meet for dinner? since u say i must tell u early. lolx." HAHA finally he is following me having a scheduled lifestyle ar, when im just beginning to be leading an impromtu life.
but it was a fun night, there was qinghong munkay leonard darren james joanna shuyu and cheryl. had dinner at ajisen, and then 2 pints of awfully choco icecream. in which they stuck like many many relightable candles on top of fast melting icecream and sang me a birthdya song at katong mall. it was hilarious and hot, and i dun manage to blow out the candles. hahaha. but it was really a sweet and surprising gesture, i love these people for always making the simpliest things so memorable :) and then the grils left and the guys plus me went to mk house. the guys bought me a pair of rollerblades! it was damm surprising cos qh called me the day b4 asking for my shoe size. like my sport shoe size n tt day rollerblade size. so i thought they were buying me heels and i was super keen to find out how it looks like la. but well, rollerblades is definitely more den just a gift. its like a skill, cos now im even more determined to learn how to rollerblade. but of cos, i am gonna drag them to go learn with me cos i think learning alone sucks. and that night, we played with like 28 boxes of matchsticks. can u believe it. at first we were thinking tt it was such a waste to buy 10 boxes to light the candles, and in the end we bought twice more to replenish our ammunition. and i finally tried the strawberry! HEHEHE :D not bad, quite nice. and so we sat at some chess table with barcardi and coke, and strawberries and matchsticks and spend the time talking till almost midnight.

on fri it was what happens in vegas with my dearest, been so freaking long since the 2 of us hanged out tgt. and what more, we had a great movie to watch :) super hilarious so please go watch it. :D


sat we pooled and qiurong and mahjong. SHIOK! i love spending my weekends with this bunch of ppl man, just simple stuff like mahjonging makes my day and chases all the worries away :)


this week we celebrated joanna;s birthday. and before that i went on a shopping spree with sher and jo. the 3 of us havent shopped tgt for so long! but it was fun and i bought quite a lot of stuff. HEHE. and we had dinner at ajiteh. it was kind of a surprise for joanna, cos i called some of the guys [qh mk jc darren james] to be inside while we led her in with her eyes closed. but ah, she wasnt very surprise leh. sigh, maybe i need to work harder on my surprises. but well, its my first time planning a surprise man! photos, when i get them!

the days ahead look really good, more outings and my first shisha session! will see how it goes :D

the last 7 minutes of my 18th year of existence.
i am turning 19. wow.

last night i was lying in bed, thinking about the past year, the past birthday. i read the many messages that people sent me.
angel told me that i was special and she love me.
benny and tee both sent me msges in the morning and tgt with han gave me a v intersting present.
joanna hoped tt i would grow wiser, prettier and happier.
the whole of the SS went to tf hse and bought me a cake and a card.
ml said we were gonna be friends always, thru the fire and thru it all.
joel said it was special and amazing to have someone who has the same birthday.
cheryl and tf were both glad tt they dun have to sneak me into m18 movies.
janice told me i was a special person.
and the all girls dinner at newyork newyork.
and of cos, the gang surprise visit with the cake and the song.

and now, one yr later. i wonder what will change. now that i no longer see all of my frens everyday. i wonder how it will be.

but for the 18th year of my life, im proud that i have become wiser, tougher, and stronger. it has been hell of a year, all the mugging and tutorials and tests, seemed impossible and daunting but i survived through it. i have done things i never done, gone overseas with friends for the first [and 2nd and 3rd] time of my life. tried clubbing and getting drunk and buying bets legally and watching m18 movies opening. i have healed emotionally, fell in and out of love. completed my A levels and tried fishing. tried smelly tofu. rebonded my hair. stepping out of my comfort zone. pretty great year i have had, definitely one that has lots of memories that i will keep for the years to come.

to the people who have stood and stayed by me, watched me grow up the past year, helped me in one way of another, contributed to my memories. thank you, thank you for the patience and presence.

now 19, i wonder how life goes from here. nevertheless, im excited, busting with energy and ready for the ride of my life :)

been 5 days since the papers ended! haha. and i spend the past 4 nights sleeping outside. finally im home, nice n comfy in bed =)

lets see.. 20th. right after the paper tt day i got my manicure, french one and played 3 hrs of shiok badminton :)


21st. a very very special day :) cos it marks the first day of freedom! and it was also the start of the class chalet. tt day we chilled in the chalet and bridged quite a bit. midnight was fun! ming hong tf and i pooled at the pool place and we walked to a nearby coffee shop to watch soccer. and we also walked like around pasir ris tt area for a long long time. its quite cool u noe. tt place has like a diff time zone, there were 2 adjacent coffee shop open at 2am and a fruit stall! like who will buy foods at 2am? and its quite funny cos we were doing really mad stuff, like using the elderly playground and the boys were pretending to be batting with some melons n veg. and so we watched soccer. hahahah croatia won! weee heeee :D

22nd. we went to tfs hse to take the bbq stuff, and shun bian slept at the clubhse. i was serriously uber tired so i knocked out immediatel in the pool room while ming and hong played by themselves. yea u read correctly ming played pool! haha change is the only constant huh. :)
and we all slept for quite some time b4 getting to buying the bbq food. seriousl smth damm funny happened on the way la. cant believe im tt silly. stupid bus 10. the bbq was alright, but kind of a hassle cos it started raining. but i think its thru such simple n smal activities tt acy reveal alot abt ppl and their character. having said tt, oh wells. tt night we bought alchohol from cheers. super ex man. so ming won her 4 boottles la. so i paid up. and we bought a few bottles tgt with wl ah nik ming and me we drank at the beach. quite fun, and tt night tf n i went to the beach for a walk n sat down to just chill. but it was really funny though cos there were many people walking n cycling by so it was kind of noisy. haha. den we went back to the chalet n squueeze next to jenny wenxuan ming and hong to sleep.

the 23rd was just spend packing up. cleaning the place n the mess and bk breakfast with the class. ok not the whole class ate bk la, half of us ate macs but we ate at bk. den ming hong tf n i watched enchanted. haha i tell u its hilarious man, exp the beginning of the show. where it was so ridiculouos n lame tt i couldnt stop laughing at ah reaction. hahaha. but seriously can u believe tt 2 big guys went to watch enchanted? lol. aft tt i came home to get some fresh change of clothes n met jc n chor at bugis to shop for mk n jt bday presents, which was accomplished very quickly. hehe cos got me! ;) and aft tt tf joined us and we went to marina bay to eat steamboat! haha ok i kinda coerced them to go but hey guys it was fun right! but seriously tt place had so much meat it kind of stinks. but at least they had stingray n better prawns den seoul garden. and their soup was nicer but there wasnt air con. but it was fun cos i had peeled prawns n cooked food presented to me, minus the fact tt some silly person injured himself when cutting crab. den the 4 of us went to watch a late night movie, at tampinese again! ok we din go back to tm, but we went cs n watch fred claus. i tell u fred claus is seriously super super nice i think everyone shld go watch it! its a nice christmasy show with the morals and love but its not right smack in ur face but it comes with a nice twist. so go catch it! really! :D and then chor n jc went off, or they walked to chor se while i suggested tt tf n i walk to simpang. haha ok obviously we din make it, got lost halfway at some tamp simei area so we cabbed to the airport. it was nice to chill at the viewing gallery but i was far too tired to even talk, cos i was tring to tell tf smth but my words were like blah n my eyes were shutting down. so i fell asleep.
24th cabbed to the club house to catch some sleep. was really so freaking tired tt i slept on n off so many times. finally woke up at 11 plus n got a good imba meal at the caffebar. finally i got to eat there man, those nice creamy pasta! then we went back to the condo to bath n headed to pp agan to buy some food stuff for jt hse stayover. met joanna and i was late again as usual, but im glad tt her hate for vs boys is not a universal thing. heh. when we got there at tats hse we were alr so so late tt all the guys were there n started alr. acty it was really fun, everyone of the guys turned up. chor mk leo jt qh jc boon james and eric. plus cheryl shuyu and joanna. plus tf n me. so many ppl! anyway, happy happy birthday joontat and munkay! :D i had a hell lot of fun just playing bridge card games n having lots of alcohol. was kinda drunk tt night but i din do any silly things. :) but it was a hell lot of fun la, thanks guys for making it possible and for being so understanding. everything would have been perfect without someone there to make a fool of himself. really. tt night i also had a really gd sleep, thanks to tat who gave us a room to our own. really cool man the bed frame. wahaha.

25h was spend cleaning the place up n fulin breakfast/lunch. den headed to borders at pp where i learn a few recipes which i dun mind trying sometime soon! heh.

hell those were such fun fun fun days. sigh i miss those times man. and my big bolster..... oh well nvm bring on the chill times! heh. :)

tiefu's birthday

celebrated tiefu's birthday with the gang on saturday night. honestly i was quite glad at how things turned out tt night, took us so long to deicde a venue n a time. and we had 10/11 attendance! cos only jx couldnt come. but heh jenny brought her Officer so we still had 11 people. dinner wasnt too bad, but it was nice to sit down with everyone n chat. n it heartens me tt they all came n were nt hiding at home studying! haha. cos its really close to the A's. so
it was a good n enjoyable weekend. n hopefully its a birthday which tf will not forget for a long long time. have a smashing yr ahead dude. faith, press on! :)

the days are becoming quite a routine, the things i do revolve mostly between studying eating studying sleeping studying bathing studying running n blogging. haha. but thank god for the nice small distractions tt i have, tt keeps me going. the smses and the calls and the chitchats and the meals with the few very important people in my life, thank you lots :)

[anghongs] theory of the [another mugging] day. teachers from my school, are often unavailable, with the exception of the time we are giving them a gift. LOL and it was proven right. HAHAHA. seriously.

and i think that these 3 words below aptly sums up what i feel life should be. of cos achievening the balance between these 3 is important! =)

happy teachers day, to those whove taught me abt life in one way or another. :)
and happy birthday sihua! now i rmb tt august has a 31st!

it rained the whole day today! n i know minggs side poured like mad too, which really exerts what ive always believed in to be true. we're all under the same sky! so keep going my dear ones you ain alone :)

today was a gd day spent at home, just sleeping n doing some math and i arranged all my notes! lemme show you how neat my table is now =) and thats only chem phys n maths! haha. i gave up on my econs though, some other day perhaps. ok so in 12 days time i need to get all the info printed on every piece of paper into my small head. n not drop any info everytime i laugh, my oh my. but like janice once said, I am Caroline Lim ShuXian! so i can do it. [ok but she got the order of my name wrong n the chinese name too, its Lim Shu Xian Caroline!]


and amongst my notes i saw the many sets [acty almost all] where mingg named my paper. haha and i kind of spend some time playing wicked with myself luh! haha. thanks babe for your 2 yrs of effort, maybe i can cut out all the names n paste it on a caardboard when we're done with the A's. cool huh! =)

watched the bourne show yerday with hong. HELLO hong i companied u alr leh! n i was nice to share my choco popcorn with u! heh. can i disband my pangsehkia club now? ;) but i think he got REALLY annoyed. haha cos i din understand the show n keep getting the characters mixed up, plus i kept laughing when someone died or got whacked or got shot at. hahahha. but its a nice show though. i also had a great dinner yesterday night celebrating mr jared belated birthday at cityhall. it was a really good night n i had a hell good fun laughing at the silly antics they do. ok tt probably equated to the last movie and nice dinner im gonna have for the next one month.

mr oh told me of what he expected of me, to do temasek proud. of cos tts what i want to do, in fact it has been one of my motivation the past few weeks. now its merely become stronger.

seoul gardened to celebrate HONG's bday yest! HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY HONG! ty for tolerating all my nonsense n disturbings, but get used to it cos theres gonna be many more years of tt to come! hehe. n for always gg to pool with me even though i suck. but one fine day i will trash u! haha it was so damm fun to eat tgt, cos he was v nice to bully n disturb. hahahaha i think he wanted to kill me, but he couldnt =p and i think i made too much noise cos jenny's officer gave me alot of food, i think to shut me up. lol. but officer was nice, very quiet though. but they are such a loving couple i felt like a 32432124 watt lightbulb the whole time.

and ga was really nice! to help me buy 1 dozens of donuts from the donut factory :) and he gave me half a dozen free! which i shared wtih alot of ppl! :) thank youuu so much once again.

rushed down for the A Cappella Championships at explanade aft tuition. TAG 1 and 2 clinched the 2nd n 3rd place! so proud of them all. :) and xuefang, my junior was the best vocal percussion!!!!!!! =DD screamt my head off for all of them man, including janice n MR BEEFY GUY who got saboed to go on stage to perform impromtu-ly. den we suppered at 85 n chatted alot b4 i came home, close to midnight!

life went on as normal the past few days, the lectures tutorials runs housework homework busjourneys. n i thought about my own life during these times. its too late to go back now, no turning back or second chances. theres no time for regrets. and as i look back to the past 19months of my life, the choice that i have made, choosing to go after my dreams and letting go of love and certain friendships, and certain benefits. i really cant help wondering how different things would be if i hadnt made those decisions back then. i felt confused, lost and helpless. but now, i have found strength and courage to push on, at least for the next 5 months. tts all the time ive got, to make sure that i havent sacrificed those things i gave up for nothing. no more pondering about the what ifs. i gotta make the next few months count - focus and do my best. for you. even though i know tt, when times are tough u wunt be beside me. n even if i come out of all this with a brilliant victory u probably wont be sharing my joy either. but still, for you.

today has really been a happy happy happy day at school. although i got back my first failed paper. haha i got an S for econs!!! haha. in fact, i never felt so happy there since school started this term i think. pe was really fun, ran n played a good game of badminton. n our class had a nice class break tgt, celebrating junxiangs n jianmings birthday. for once in the longest time tt i can rmb, we were all gathered tgt as a class during a break. :D n the FFs chionged to the lt to do our econs outlines, and we had a rare good chat despite trying to read n understand our notes n copy out the impt pts. but i need to emphasize, i really am not interested in the 2 options tt u ppl were considering/rating for me. sorry :)

after school i pooled with benny pong han weideng nikhil and anghong. it was great fun man, n those guys are quite pros! haha. n after tt we dinnered at the gourmet food center, ate the super nice chicken rice. it was cool, weideng [like our daddy] ordered a big plate of chicken n one plate of mixed charsiew n roast meat. alongside 2 big bowls of REAL soup and erm 8 plates of rice. and the 5 of us wiped everything clean n felt so freaking full after that! haha. like one big family eating seh. i also told them tt there was a bowling alley at the 7th floor, n so we wanted to bowl for a while. took us a hell long time to walk all over the plaace trying to go upstairs, cos all the lifts n staircases are so messy n scaary. i seriously laughed till i couldnt walk a few times! n in the end the alley was demolished la. so we din bowl at all. argh. next time perhaps, not a friday la, since the boys say tt fri they study,
haha. im such a bad ct rep, bad influence =p

okays im so freaking tired i think i will go to bed early tonight.
must be the pe n pool n laughing tt absorbed all my energy away!

elegant eleven was REALLY sweet today cos everyone [ jenny mingyee sihua yuhe woonloong anghong jianming tiefu junxiang and nikhil] all celebrated for me at tf's hse with a tiramisu cake n a nice card.followed by alot of water spplashing n running abt, just like small kids. i had alot of fun! thank u guys so so much. =) but it was super funy cos it was a freaking hot afternoon n the 4 candles tt i had on the cake were relighting candles! so i blew n blew n blew. -.-' but i had fun, n it was quite a surprise. though i felt tt the way tf asked me to go to his hse was super funny. he was like " want come my hse play pool?" like on a super random tues afternoon. haa haa. but thanks ppl love u lots =) photos, not with me.

after tt i met cheryl to study. she bought me like alot of stuff. a birthday card tt has some really magical thing abt it. a new pencil box n a new water bottle, all winnie the pooh. and a nice huggie pooh head. thanks dear. =)

n while studying she snndely wanted to buy water, so we had to walk like up n down the pathway leading to ntuc, n she was like wanting to look at old ppl / mad ppl. while i was trying my best to drag her back to study. haha. on our way back, the guys suddenly pop out with a cake n started their loud rendition of happy birthday. i was so touched i teared la! cos i thought they were all too busy tt they forgot. haha. turns out they din. thanks you qinghong joontat darren n boonsin, and of cus cheryl! played alot n the nice mocha cake bcame like cement with some sai after alot of addition of ingredients, whats new. haha. some photos we took tonight =)

acty i wanted to tell someone something today, as an attempt to make one of my birthday wishes come true. or i was hoping that that someone would tell me something. but in the end, that someone did not say anything n i guess, im not going to say anything too. probably cos im scare tt things wun go the way i want, or maybe im not so sure if i want it anyway. maybe i should wait, let time tell. hopefully this is the right decision to make, is it?

ARGHHHHH, pissed me off just to think about it man. guess wad, they said no electronice devices - so to be safe i din bring my hp, n ipod. felt so freaking helpless la the whhole morning. but i even forgot to bring my CALCULATOR!!! like wad the fucking hell la. knn u try doing maths paper in limited time n u still need to do all the manual calculations. wahh seriously feels like shit. i felt so freaking tired after the paper man. oh well its over hopefully i dun do too badly. im really keeping my fingers crossed!

birthday celebrations with family was a bash.

n i was really happy cos i finally got my rum n cherry cake from awfullychocolate. but it turned out not to be an ice cream cake!!!! ARGH. imagine how heavenly a rum n cherery ice cream cake would have tasted. but it was still good, v moist n chocolaty, n im gonna bring some for my frens tmr =)
